Alumni

For a student organisation, renewal of members are so fast compared to any other kind of organisation. Therefore, the knowledge transfer from generation to generation gets even more important. At this point Alumni perception appears. A person devoting years to an organisation would always have the will to help to the new generations. That is how an organisation keeps the continuity for long periods.

EESTEC members are quite aware of the importance of keeping in contact with Alumni. The contact is maintained within both international and local level. Alumni members are invited to the events organized by EESTEC Local Committees throughout the year, and thereby EESTEC members benefit from the background, knowledge and experience they have.

Besides the Alumni sections that Local Committees have, an International Alumni Network of EESTEC has been functioning for a long time. Contact between the Alumni members on the international level is maintained online as well as alumni events organized several times a year. The Alumni board, being elected within the network members, coordinates the activities.

Having graduated from the universities, alumni members usually are working in the companies or related departments of the univerisities. This is a great opportunity for the EESTEC members to enrich their activities by collaborating with them. That is what has been done so far and what is planned to be done for the future, as well.
